Mobile Public Library

Project Description:
Re-roofed and installed new modified bitumen roof on new addition to library.
Project Highlights:
Particular care had to be taken with removal of original roof to ensure water tightness to protect historical and valuable items within the building.
Middle Bay Lighthouse 
Location:
Mobile Bay, AL
Project Description:
Removed existing shingle roof system and installed true slate in order to restore the roof to the original materials.
Project Highlights:
Project required removal of existing roof while preventing materials from entering Mobile Bay. Old materials had to be removed by barge, and new roofing materials were then transported by barge to the project site. The weather and environmental conditions presented daily challenges. We had to access the site twice during tropical storm conditions to secure the building for the storm.
Admiral’s Quarters at Fort Morgan

Project Description:
Thomas Roofing re-roofed and provided exterior renovations to all three buildings.
Project Highlights:
All work was done with consideration of the 1800’s historical value.
Museum of Mobile 
Location:
Water Street at Government Street, Mobile, AL
Project Description:
Re-roofed building, installed new sky light on existing structure, and installed metal roofing and modified bitumen roofing on new additions.
Project Highlights:
Overcame logistical challenges that were caused by very tight working conditions.
Mobile E-911 facility 
Location:
Zeigler Blvd., Mobile, AL
Project Description:
Replaced existing metal roof with new metal roofing system designed to withstand 220 mph winds.
Project Highlights:
All work had to be done without interruption to the facility’s E-911 operations. Roof decking was replaced and the roof structure enhanced to meet the high wind resistance.
Federal Bureau of Investiga tions (FBI) Building

St. Anthony and Water Streets, Downtown Mobile, AL
Project Description:
Tapered insulation and modified bitumen roofing system on new building.
Project Highlights:
Thomas Roofing project manager had to pass extensive background checks, and all workers had to meet FBI security requirements.
